Best Concealers 2022 For Dry or Mature Skin
Trinny London BFF Eye Serum Concealer is packed full of skincare ingredients making it a great one for dry skin types.
It is really smoothing and hydrating, and you can build it up for increased coverage without it going cakey. It is made for the undereye, but I think it works really well all over the face for general imperfections.
I use shade Alice. The concealer is £26 and available HERE* now.
Estee Lauder’s Doublewear Radiant concealer is a brilliant option for dryer skin types or older skins.
This concealer has a lovely moisturising feel on the skin in a creamy, comforting texture. It contains botanical extracts, including Chia, and Camelina and Kukui Nut Oils to nourish the skin.
It is £25 and available at:
Another super flattering option and one of my absolute favourites is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer.
It’s super glowy and just softly covers everything from darkness under the eyes, hyperpigmentation and redness, while softening the look of lines and wrinkles.
It is £24 and available at:
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer
I really like the creamy texture of this concealer. It gives a brilliant coverage yet blends out effortlessly with either a brush or fingertips. It hides all kinds of imperfections, but still looks like skin with a lovely natural finish.
This concealer is £25 which is pretty great value for 11ml of product. It is available via the following links:
Best Concealers 2022 For Oily Skin
If you have skin that tends to lean towards oily, it’s often a good idea to choose something a little more matte in finish.
KVD Beauty Good Apple Concealer is designed to be a hydrating formula, but in spite of that, I think the finish is very well suited to combination or oily skin.
It is highly pigmented, so covers and smooths really well, and has a great long lasting formula. You can use under the eyes, but it’s also very good for spot concealing.
Read the Good Apple Concealer review.
It is £23 and available at:
Hourglass’ Vanish Airbrush Concealer has a lovely velvety matte finish and uses microspherical powders that absorb excess oil and blur and brighten. It’s longwear so performs well on combination and oily skin types.
It is £32 and available at:
The NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer is another brilliant option, although it’s also a great one for all skin types. I never thought I’d like it but it’s great. This lasts really well, has really good coverage as it’s super pigmented. It isn’t a flat matte and it’s kind of luminous which is amazing for me. There are 16 shades – mine is Creme Brulee.
It is £24 and available at:
If you’re on a budget, The Ordinary Concealer is one to check out.
It’s definitely matte but it’s a soft matte and when I’ve used it, I have prepped my skin with a richer moisturiser. It delivers a natural looking finish and is good for blurring enlarged pores.
It is available for under £5 at:
Best For Dark Circles & Brightening
Brightening and evening out skin tone is the main reason I reach for a concealer, so this is my comfort zone. For this, I love the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer. It’s amazing on the delicate skin under the eyes and really adds light and radiance. I love to use it anywhere that I want to brighten up.
Another one my favourites for brightening is the Estee Lauder Doublewear Radiant Concealer which has been developed in a range of undertones. It has a lovely radiance which is ideal for brightening the eye area and concealing dark circles.
Armani Luminous Silk Multi Purpose Glow Concealer has been designed to conceal under-eye circles and is ideal for use on the eye’s delicate contours. The formula adds radiance and blurs lines, while caffeine reduces puffiness and diminishes the appearance of dark circles. Perfect!
The concealer is £35.50 and available at:

Another of my undereye faves is the NUDESTIX NudeFix Cream Concealer.
It uses super-gel technology that fills lines and smooths texture and contains light-diffusing minerals brighten under-eye darkness. The texture is super glowy and gorgeous yet long-wearing and water resistant.
£24 and available at:

Best Concealers 2022 For Covering Blemishes
I mainly use my concealers for brightening and evening out skin tone, however, if I need to cover a spot, these are the ones I would reach for.
bareMinerals Original Liquid Mineral Concealer is a great one for concealing blemishes because it’s one that is all about the coverage.
It is long-wear, crease resistant and also non-comedogenic so it will not clog pores or contribute to breakouts. Read the bareMinerals concealer review.
The Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer has the right amount of matte texture plus high pigment to work really well for covering spots. The long lasting formula ensures it stays in place. See above.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer is excellent for spot concealing because the texture is extremely light and airy and is applied very easily.
I just tap it on and then blend it out with my finger and the job is down. You only need a tiny bit, so you aren’t adding any extra texture on the problem area.
£24 and available at:
Concealing Blemishes on a budget
The Ordinary Concealer‘s highly pigmented formula makes it very well suited for covering blemishes. You can build it in light layers for very natural looking full coverage, and it sets to matte to lock it all in place. See above.
The ELF 16 Hour Camo Concealer is another top choice for dealing with spots and blemishes. It uses a highly pigmented formula in a lightweight texture which dries to a matte finish. It also oil-balancing properties which is always great for acne-prone skin.
This is £5 and available at:
Best All Round Concealers On a Budget
This is the really fun part because there are so many excellent concealers to be found on the high street and in the drug store.
L’Oreal Paris True Match Eye Cream in a Concealer is an excellent newbie.
This has been specifically formulated for the eye area, but I find it also works really well all over to conceal redness, reduces the appearance of pigmentation, and basically brighten up anywhere the skin is a bit dull. It has a nice hydrating texture and feels soft and silky on the skin.
Available now for £9.99 at:
Maybelline Instant Age Eraser Concealer is such a hero.
This works really nicely for me so and I’ve probably been using this for the longest out of all of the concealers. It’s just does such a brilliant job. You can just swipe it on everything, it’s so easy to use and blend. There’s no point not having this!
It is £8.99 and available at:
Finally I have already touched on these two concealers, ELF 16 Hour Camo Concealer and The Ordinary Concealer High Coverage Formula and they are both excellent options for if you’re on a budget. Both have a matte, long lasting finish and perform well. The Ordinary, however, has the widest shade range available at such a low price point right now.
I think that just about wraps up my round up of the Best Concealers for 2022. Please let me know what you think!
